After nearly ten years of supporting startups, VentureLab North will conclude its operations on December 20, 2024. This transition marks the beginning of a new era in entrepreneurial support with the launch of Innokite at the MXT Conference on January 15, 2025.
The Impact of VentureLab North
Since 2015, VentureLab North has played a crucial role in transforming the entrepreneurial landscape in the Northern Netherlands.
Supported over 300 aspiring founders.
Provided tailored assistance through weekly workshops, personal mentoring, and networking opportunities.
Contributed to the foundation of numerous successful startups.

As we close this chapter, we sincerely thank our partners, mentors, and participants for their vital role in the success of VentureLab North. Your support has shaped an incredible entrepreneurial journey in the Northern Netherlands.
The Campus Trail at Campus Groningen is once again generating a lot of enthusiasm. So far, 500 participants have already registered for the seventh edition of the running event, which will take place on Friday, September 11.
It all started fourteen years ago with an idea in a laboratory on the Zernike Campus in Groningen. The financing has now been secured, and BioBTX can build a factory in Delfzijl.
UMCG is continuing the development of the new Central Laboratory for Diagnostics and Research (CLDR). Over the coming period, the preliminary design will be further developed into a final design, bringing the realization of the new laboratory building another step closer.
