Biokinetica Establishes Itself at Campus Groningen: Innovative Phase I Research Closer to Home

Biokinetica, an internationally recognized clinical research company with Polish roots, opened a new site at Campus Groningen in June 2025. The company specializes in complex early-phase studies, such as First in Human (FiH), Proof of Concept, QTc measurements, CSF sampling, and other clinical pharmacology trials involving both healthy volunteers and patients.

CC Diagnostics Triumphs in LIFE Science Award Finale at LIFE Science Conference

The LIFE Cooperative successfully hosted its fourth annual LIFE Science Conference yesterday, bringing together researchers, policymakers, and partners from both academia and industry at Forum Groningen. The central theme was “Sustainability in Healthcare.” CC Diagnostics emerged as the winner of the 2025 LIFE Science Award during the exciting finale.

Royal recognition for Johannes Wolters and Ton Vries at the Life Science Conference: “Their dedication has shaped our sector”

King Willem-Alexander has appointed former LIFE Cooperative board members Ton Vries and Johannes Wolters as Officers of the Order of Orange-Nassau. The royal distinctions were festively presented by Mayor Roelien Kamminga of Groningen during the Life Science Conference of the LIFE Cooperative on Tuesday, September 23.

Across the Campus: Highlights and Photos from a Successful Campus Trail

On Friday, 15 September, Campus Groningen came alive during the annual Campus Trail. Nearly 600 participants walked, danced, and enjoyed a route full of innovative companies, atmospheric music points, and surprising stops. Young and old joined in: from students to CEOs, from researchers to local residents. New this year was the addition of BuildinG to the route, which gave the trail an extra boost of future-focused energy.

Labs, runners, and live music: Campus Trail turns sporty exploration into a party

The Zernike Campus was more vibrant than ever today during the sixth edition of the Campus Trail. With over 600 enthusiastic participants, including 25 corporate teams, the campus transformed into a sporty festival ground. Along the route, there was plenty of music, activities, and surprising performances, ensuring that participants were not only moving but also enjoying a lively and festive atmosphere.

The LIFE Cooperative, part of the Campus Groningen ecosystem, has announced the four finalists of the LIFE Science Innovation Award 2025: MemoryLab Health, QT Sense, Sabiad, and CC Diagnostics. These companies demonstrate how the Northern Netherlands, with groundbreaking innovations, can make a global impact in Life Sciences & Health. On Friday, September 12, runners will once again gather at the starting line of the Campus Trail on Zernike Campus Groningen. With nearly 500 registrations, this edition promises to be lively and energetic. This fun run takes participants right through buildings, labs, and companies where education, research, and innovation are usually the focus.
